"Satoshi's Last Will" in the News

Digital Money Times has reported about our film project "Satoshi's Last Will":

The article starts like this:

"There are many ways in which we could gain a lot more mainstream attention for Bitcoin, but it’s hard to find something positive that most media outlets want to cover. After all, bad news sells a lot better than positive news, especially when it comes to Bitcoin, it seems. But what about a live action movie about Bitcoin? One that would show up in theatres?

Bitcoin has seen a small share of screen time over the past few years due to some interesting documentaries being made. Most notable titles include “The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin”, “Bitcoin: The End Of Money As We Know It” and “I Am Satoshi”. The only downside to these documentaries – even though they are all worth seeing – is that none of them ever made it to the big screens in theatres around the world.

Furthermore, it takes quite some time to film, edit and put together a Bitcoin documentary in the right order. With Bitcoin technology evolving at an accelerated pace these past few years, most of the documentary’s source material is outdated by the time it gets released; which is not doing Bitcoin any favours either.

But Bitfilm’s Aaron Koenig is looking to change that, by creating a full-length movie called “Satoshi’s Last Will”. Mr. Koenig feels that, in order to properly educate people on Bitcoin and its technology, we need to make use of the video format. Most of us grew up with a television or computer that we all used to watch video content in one way, shape or form.

And that will also be the case for future generations, as people know a lot of things they “saw on tv that one time”. A movie about Bitcoin would be a great start towards achieving global awareness and, potentially, adoption of Bitcoin and digital currency. In order to achieve this, we need a powerful narrative that people will want to go and see in theatres."
